All eyes in the pro skateboard world were (literally) on ISX Scoring this past weekend as our team was pulling double duty, handling the judging, scoring graphics and stats for two premier events: the Street League Skateboarding (SLS) Monster Energy Pro Open and the annual Vans Pool Party.

2014 marked the 10th year for the annual Vans Pool Party, held at the classic Vans Skatepark in Orange, California, but the first for ISX Scoring as the official scoring and stats partner for the event. Per Dialsmith’s Aaron Korach, “It’s important for a competition like this to have a scoring system that is flexible enough to adjust formatting on the fly. We were able to do that and through our real-time results and graphics shown live at the event and via the webcast, we helped facilitate a memorable competition for both the competitors and the fans.”

This year’s Vans Pool Party was one for the books with epic rides from some of the world’s most celebrated skaters. Congrats to Pros winner Tristan Rennie, Masters winner Bruno Passos and Legends winner Chris Miller.

The ISX team was also on hand in downtown LA this past weekend for the Street League Skateboarding Monster Energy Pro Open.

“From its inception, the “I” in ISX has been about “instant,” as in instant scoring. Now in our fifth season as scoring and stats partner for Street League Skateboarding, we are using ISX to not only score the SLS pros, but to also help usher in the next generation of competitors” added Founder and CEO of Dialsmith, David Paull. “As the new 2014 season rolls on to new markets, and with a new television partner FOX Sports 1, expect to see ISX Scoring visualized in new and exciting ways as the league continues to grow and evolve. It’s going to be fun to work on and even more fun to watch.”

Nyjah Huston started the 2014 Street League season off the way he’s started and finished several previous seasons, by taking home the top prize and cementing his ‘golden ticket’ to the 2014 Nike SB Super Crown World Championship. It was also an exciting weekend for three skaters who made it on to the SLS Pros list. Congrats to Matt Berger, Trevor Colden and Davis Torgerson!

Both our ISX Scoring team and the SLS pros have a month to practice and get revved up before the SLS World Tour is in full force. Here are the rest of the 2014 tour dates. Stay tuned for updates from the road.
