Dial focus groups are nothing new to Aaron Sorkin shows. Back in 2002, the testing methodology was featured in an episode of The West Wing.

Now, in a recent episode of HBO’s hit series The Newsroom, the methodology is featured again as part of testing done on the show’s fictional news program “News Night.”
