Interesting editorial on the X Games website by skating enthusiast, author and comedian Chris Nieratko. Nieratko examines the role of Street League and its breakthrough format powered by ISX Scoring in the popularization of skateboarding and on its chance to become an Olympic sport.

Here’s an excerpt:

There are many haters of Rob Dyrdek’s larger-than-life Street League contest series, but I am not one of them. I quite enjoy what Dyrdek’s attempting to do: making a palatable skate contest for the mainstream, creating uniformity in how contests are run and sealing up a place for himself and the ISX scoring system, should skateboarding ultimately join the Olympics.
